Zaragoza
Origin of the Name
In honor of the
illustrious General Ignacio Zaragoza who
directed the defense of the city of Puebla May 5
1862.
Description of the Shield
For
ordinance of the Congress of the State it was
approved January 18 1945.
Has an escusón triangular footwear in the
superior part of the campaign, and it is
observed
in the inferior part of the shield, sustained by
an eagle bicípite with the extended wings
in whose plumage garlands of roses appear in
pale gules, remembering the
denomination of Villa of Roses.
The boss contains thirteen stars in gules on the
bottom of gold to symbolize the shacks
built as the population's founders' housing.
The campaign represents a panoramic of the
valley in that the burgo was founded, with the
skirts of a mountain toward the bottom in blue,
the sembradíos in sinople the same thing that
the canes of sugar and the corn, the rivers and
the sky in blue, the village in silver, the
wheat sheaf in gold, the cow in white, as well
as the sheep and the goat.
